Homemakers
The HOMEMAKERS is a group of women who come together with the common goal of having a more meaningful and intentional relationship with God and others.
Forty years ago, we were just a small group of women meeting weekly for fellowship. Eventually, the members started opening up about family problems prompting the group’s leader to conduct a Bible study and share lessons on God-centered family relationships; thus, Homemakers for Jesus was birthed. As the purpose and direction of the group became clearer, more and more women responded to the call to be part of this support group. As friendships grew, we began sharing each other’s culinary talents leading to practical livelihood and income-generating programs for our families.
Now, we are simply known as HOMEMAKERS, consisting of 11 groups of women of different ages and status, meeting at varied times and locations throughout the week. As we grow with the village, we initiate and engage in different activities that connect women to God, strengthen family values, establish rapport, and encourage and support one another.
Embracing our role in the church - to care not just for our families but for the whole community - is a tall order, but we are more than happy to take on the challenge
